High Risk Licence Units
The Transport and Logistics Training Package includes specialised High Risk Licence units designed to equip learners with the necessary skills and certifications to perform high-risk work safely and effectively. These units focus on critical tasks such as crane operations, forklift, and operating elevated work platforms, all of which require compliance with strict safety regulations.
Delivery of High Risk Licence Units involves a combination of classroom-based theoretical instruction and practical, hands-on training in a controlled environment. Learners engage with real-world scenarios to develop their understanding of safety procedures, hazard identification, risk management, and the operation of specialised equipment. Qualified trainers provide demonstrations and guide students through each step, ensuring they acquire the competency to perform high-risk tasks.
Assessment for High Risk Licence units is conducted through a mix of written theory exams and practical assessments. These assessments are designed to test both knowledge of safety legislation and the ability to safely execute high-risk work tasks. Practical assessments are typically carried out on-site or in a simulated work environment, where learners demonstrate their competency in tasks such as operating cranes. For licensing, learners must meet specific criteria set by regulatory bodies, and assessments are conducted by accredited assessors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Upon successful completion, learners are awarded a High Risk Work Licence, which is required to perform these specialised tasks in the workplace. These licences are nationally recognized and ensure that graduates meet the necessary safety and competency requirements to work in high-risk roles within the construction industry.
